WWI in Photos is a  photo blog of our September 2014 travels through World War I’s western front. The six day trip hit all the major battles and many lesser known battles. We started with a visit to the Chemin des Dames and then proceeded south east to Verdun and the Musue-Argonne. We then traveled north west to Flanders where we explored Ypres, Vimy, Arras, Artois and the Somme. The trip was nowhere near exhaustive and in many cases we ran out of time to see a few must sees. Nevertheless, between the museums, battlefields, and cemeteries, we came away with a deeper understanding of the war.

The entries are arranged more or less chronologically. I’ve broken up most of the entries into either day log encapsulations or if a sight warrants it, its own entry.
